The key topics included in the workshop are:

  • About World Heritage
  • Why is the Wet Tropics so special?
  • The people of the Wet Tropics
  • Experiencing the Wet Tropics—what to look for!

This is a valuable workshop for those who bring guests to the Wet Tropics and those interested in nature interpretation. The workshop is delivered by Russell Boswell, Manager of Savannah Guides.  Savannah Guides is a not-for-profit organisation delivering professional development for Tour Guides across northern Australia, including training, field schools and accreditation.  In partnership with the Wet Tropics Management Authority it delivers the Wet Tropics Tour Guide Program specifically for the World Heritage Area guides and Visitor Information Centre staff.
