A great opportunity for IATG members to go behind the scenes at the iconic State Theatre in Market Street, Sydney.

- The State Theatre opened in 1929.It was the vision of Stuart Doyle, the owner of Union Theatres and
Architect Henry White. It was claimed to be “The Empire’s greatest theatre” and was designed as a picture palace when such monuments to movies were at their grandest and most spectacular.
- Home to the Sydney Film Festival since 1974.
- Reopened in 1980 after a complete restoration, the Theatre has become a venue for live acts and musical performances by some of the world’s greatest artists.
