PARRAMATTA WALKING TOUR

Enjoy a day as a guest of the Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre, guided around the city and its historic precincts.

Highlights:

  • Welcome to the Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Centre (pictured above)
  • City Tour (Circuit)
  • Old Government House 'at home' inspection
  • Tour of the old government dairy (pictured below)
  • (if time permits) Baludari Walk for tour of Female Orphan School 
  • Free to IATG members

Itinerary:

10.30 am

Meeting Point: Parramatta Wharf. Members are encouraged to travel by Rivercat. Ferry departs Darling Harbour at 9.20 am

Visit the Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre, then       enjoy a guided walk featuring points of interest in Parramatta CBD

Visit Old Government House and the government dairy – two of just three surviving 18th century buildings in Australia.

For those who wish to see more, there will be a trip along the Baludari Walkway for a guided tour of the Female Orphan school. (Ferry then departs from here back to city, or return to the Transport Interchange).
